Monitoring Rogue Clients
You can view connected rogue clients in AirWave by navigating to Clients > Rogue Clients, as shown in Figure 1.
From the Rogue Clients page, you can:
- Click the MAC address of a rogue to classify the device on the Client > Client Details page.
- Click the Rogue AP link to review the AP Details, rogue associations, and discovery events on the RAPIDS > Details page for the AP.

Field |
Description |
MAC Address |
Displays the MAC address of the rogue client. Click on this to jump to the Clients > Client Detail page for this rogue. |
Username |
The user name associated with this client. |
Rogue AP |
The name of the Rogue AP. Click on this to jump to the RAPIDS > Detail page for this AP. |
Device Type |
The type of device, such as iPhone, Windows 7, etc. |
SSID |
The SSID of this client. |
BSSID |
The BSSID of this client. |
First Heard |
The date and time when this rogue client was first noticed. |
Last Heard |
The date and time when this rogue client was last noticed. |
Location |
If a location is available, you can click on this link to open the VisualRF floor plan and location on which this client resides. |
Connection Mode |
Shows the type of connection, such as 802.11n, 802.11b, etc. |
Ch BW |
Shows the channel bandwidth for this rogue client. |
Signal |
Shows the signal value for this rogue client. |
SNR |
Shows the signal-to-noise ratio. |
Channel |
Shows the channel on which this rogue client is broadcasting. |
