1 Trigger ILO upgrade using ServicePack

Prerequisite

  • Download new ILO Service Pack from HPE Support Portal, HPE Support Center.

  • Download custom patched Service Pack by HPE from, SPP Custom Download.

    HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises supports "2022.09.01.00" or higher service pack versions.

  • For a fast and simultaneous installation of the SP ISO image, host the SP ISO image on the webserver for example, apache which is used to mount the ISO from ILO virtual disk option.

Description

Enter command option 1 from the Upgrade ILO using Service Pack commands to upgrade the Service Pack. Before upgrading the service pack, the system checks if there is any node down, replace node is in process, or add node is in process.

This menu 4-9-1, can only be triggered from a physical or remote ILO console. If you trigger it from the COP console it displays an error.

Admins must login to the ILO console after ILO goes to showdown mode and reset the ILO using the Service Pack downloaded from the HPE Support Portal.

From the System Configuration options, select 9 to Upgrade the ILO using Service Pack.

Upgrade ILO using Service Pack Options

1. Trigger ILO upgrade using ServicePack 2. Check ILO ServicePack version ==================================== b. back m. main menu 0. exit Enter option [ 0 - 2 ]: 1

From the Upgrade ILO using Service Pack options, select 1 to Trigger the ILO upgrade using Service Pack.
