An update is the process of applying a minor patch release within the same major version—for example, from 6.7.1 to 6.7.2. Updates are available from the portal in ClearPass Policy Manager. This section describes how to install a patch update either through the portal, as an offline update, or through the interface.
During an update, the log database is retained. No extra steps are needed to retain the session log history during an update.
