Generic Devices - Device Details Overview
The dialog displays additional device detail information for a specific generic device Generic devices are unknown devices which cannot be classified using any of the system or user defined classification criteria. Generic devices do not contain enough fingerprint data to classify them. Generic devices are grouped into device clusters by similar properties and can then be classified by the user either by assigning a classification set to the device cluster or creating a user defined rule.. Generic devices are displayed with the following type of of of and of The device type image is displayed in section, because device type is unknown for generic devices.
This dialog is the same as the dialog except for the following differences:
- The associated with the generic device is displayed in the under the tab.
- The card under the tab does not contain any information for a generic device.

At the top of the dialog, the icon is displayed. When you click the icon, the dialog opens where you can create a rule A rule is a user defined classification set used by the system to classify unknown (generic) devices or reclassify devices. Rule classification overrides system classification. to classify generic devices.
