Upgrading Device Architecture while Cloning
You can upgrade the device architecture from ArubaOS 8 to ArubaOS 10 while cloning a group. Upgrading device architecture from ArubaOS to ArubaOS 10 is applicable only for SD-Branch configuration. The ArubaOS 10 architecture will be applied to the cloned group.
To upgrade the architecture while cloning group, complete the following steps:
- In the Aruba Central app, set the filter to .
- Under , click .
By default, the Network Structure tab is displayed.
- Click the tile.
Displays the Groups page.
- To create a clone of an existing group, hover over the group in the groups table and click the
icon.Displays the Clone Group page.
- Enter a name for the new group.
- Select the check box for Upgrade and maintain SD Branch configuration.
- Click .
A new group is created from the source group settings.
When you clone a group, Aruba Central also copies the configuration templates applied to the devices in the group.
Device Combinations
The following table lists the valid combinations for a group persona when you upgrade the device architecture from ArubaOS 8 to ArubaOS 10 while cloning a group.
