What deployment topologies are supported in AOS-10 AirGroup?

Both overlay and underlay topologies (except a wired server overlay topology) are supported in AOS-10AirGroup.

What is the survivability in AOS-10?

In AOS-10, when an AP loses its connection Classic Central:

• Learned servers continue to function.

• New servers will function only when the connectivity to Classic Central is restored.

What is the maximum number of APs that AirGroup supports in the one-hop neighborhood?

AirGroup visibility domain can be extended to a maximum of 32 APs.

Are custom servers supported in AOS-10, and how many custom servers are allowed?

Yes, customer servers are supported in AOS-10, and there is no limit to the number of custom servers allowed.

What is a personal server and a public server?

Personal servers are servers which belongs to a user, that is, any device with a username is treated as personal server when Personal AirGroup is enabled.

Public servers are servers which belong to IT and have a common user identity (for example, Admin Help-desk) and are usually accessible all users. In other words, all devices associated to the network using PSK Pre-shared key. A unique shared secret that was previously shared between two parties by using a secure channel. This is used with WPA security, which requires the owner of a network to provide a passphrase to users for network access. is treated as public device when Personal AirGroup is enabled.

If a network administrator associates a server to a network using a username-based authentication, can the device be classified as a public server?

What types of servers and clients are supported by AirGroup?

AirGroup supports wireless clients, and wired and wireless servers.

AirGroup supports trusted and untrusted wired servers.

Is wired overlay supported in AirGroup?

No, AirGroup does not support wired overlay.

Are predefined services supported?

Yes, predefined services, as well as an option to add custom services, are supported.

Does SONOS work with AirGroup?

SONOS works with a single speaker in the same VLAN Virtual Local Area Network.
