Editing a Wireless Network Profile

If you modify the name of the WLAN Wireless Local Area Network. WLAN is a 802.11 standards-based LAN that the users access through a wireless connection. SSID Service Set Identifier. SSID is a name given to a WLAN and is used by the client to access a WLAN network. in the WLAN configuration, the WLAN SSID name will not be auto-updated in the Cloud Authentication and Policy user access policy. You must set the WLAN SSID to the updated name in the Cloud Authentication and Policy user access policy.

To edit a network profile, complete the following steps:

  1. In the WebUI, set the filter to a group containing at least one AP.

    The dashboard context for the group is displayed.

  2. Under Manage, click Devices > Access Points.

    A list of APs is displayed in the List view.

  3. Click the Config icon.

    The tabs to configure the APs are displayed.

  4. Click the WLANs tab.

    The WLANs details page is displayed.

  5. In the Wireless SSIDs table, select the network that you want to edit, and then click the edit icon.
  6. Modify the profile and click Save Settings.

You can directly edit the SSID name under the Display Name column of the Wireless SSIDs table. Double-click the relevant SSID that you want to rename, and type the new name. Press Enter to complete the process.

Editing a Wired Port Profile

To edit a network profile, complete the following steps:

  1. In the WebUI, set the filter to a group containing at least one AP.
  2. Under Manage, click Devices > Access Points.
  3. Click the Config icon.

    The tabs to configure APs are displayed.

  4. Click Show Advanced, and click the Interfaces tab.

    The Interfaces details page is displayed.

  5. Click the Wired accordion.
  6. In the Wired Port Profiles pane, select the network that you want to edit, and then click the edit icon under the Actions column.
  7. Modify the profile and click Save Settings.
