Configuring AirGroup Server Policy at the Global Level

Ensure that the following AirGroup pre-requisite(s) is(are) met:

  • An AOS-10 group should be available.

To configure the AirGroup server policy at the global level, complete the following procedure:

  1. In the WebUI, set the filter to global.
  2. Under Manage, click Applications > AirGroup.
  3. Click the Config icon.
  4. Click Servers.
  5. In the Servers table, click the Add Server icon.
  6. In the Add Server table:
    1. Specify the name of the server in Name.
    2. Specify the MAC Media Access Control. A MAC address is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on a network. address of the server in MAC Address.
    3. To allow the server on the required roles, select Allow server from the For these client roles drop-down list.

      Allowing an AirGroup server on client roles is optional. If configured, the AirGroup server is available only on the specified client roles. The AirGroup server will not be available on unspecified client roles.

    4. To specify the roles for which the service must be allowed, click the plus icon next to For these client roles.
    5. In the Client Roles table, select the required client roles and click Apply.
    6. To allow the server to be visible on required access points, click the plus icon next to Visible only through these access points.
    7. In the Visible Through Access Points table, select the required access points, and click Apply.

      Selecting one or more access points is mandatory for server policy.

  7. Click Add.
