Backup and Restore Configuration Templates
HPE Aruba Networking Central allows you to back up configuration templates assigned to the devices deployed in a template group. The pages for Instant AP, switch, and gateway configuration containers allow you to create and manage backed up files and restore these files when required. The Configuration Audit feature also allows you to set operational modes for the devices. HPE Aruba Networking Central supports the following device operation modes:
- Monitored—When the Monitor mode is enabled, it HPE Aruba Networking Central will not push changes to devices. Any discrepancy in the device configuration will be displayed as a configuration error. By default, the monitor mode is disabled for all devices and groups. To enable the monitor mode, click .
- Device level—Enables monitor mode for the selected device only.
- Group level—Enables monitor mode for the selected group and devices provisioned in that group.
- Managed—When managed mode is enabled for the devices, it HPE Aruba Networking Central pushes configuration changes to the devices. To enable managed mode, click .
If monitor mode is enabled at the device level, the selected device functions in the monitor mode. If the monitor mode is enabled at the group level, all devices in the group inherit this setting.
If a device managed by HPE Aruba Networking Central displays a and persistently fails to receive configuration updates from HPE Aruba Networking Central, contact HPE Aruba Networking Central Technical Support.
