Configuring Server Groups
For bridged AP SSID Service Set Identifier. SSID is a name given to a WLAN and is used by the client to access a WLAN network. deployments, you can create multiple servers and add them in a group. The maximum number of server groups is 32 and the maximum number of authentication servers is 8, in one server group.
Classic Central currently supports RADIUS Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service. An Industry-standard network access protocol for remote authentication. It allows authentication, authorization, and accounting of remote users who want to access network resources. and RadSec servers within a Server Group definition.
Server group is not only supported in wireless SSID profile (mac dot1x cp) but also in wired port profile (mac dot1x cp).
Mac Auth, Captive Portal A captive portal is a web page that allows the users to authenticate and sign in before connecting to a public-access network. Captive portals are typically used by business centers, airports, hotel lobbies, coffee shops, and other venues that offer free Wi-Fi hotspots for the guest users., and Dot1X server group supports a maximum of 8 authentication servers. If several servers time out, the client may cancel authentication and no longer attempt retries. In such a case, manual reconnection to the client is required.
To configure a server group, complete the following steps:

In the WebUI, set the filter to a group that contains at least one AP.

Under , click > Access Points.

Click the icon.
The group configuration page is displayed. -
Click Security > Authentication Servers.
The Authentication Servers page is displayed. -
Expand the accordion.

In the table, click to create a new server group.

Enter the name of the new server group.

In the Authentication Servers table, click to add servers to the group.
The ADD EXISTING SERVERS page is displayed.

Select one or more servers listed in the Add Existing Servers table and click Save.
The list of servers in the group is displayed. The first server in the list is always used by default, unless it is unavailable, in which case the next server in the list is used.

The dashboard context for a group is displayed.
To assign the server group to a network profile, select the newly added server group when configuring security settings for a wireless or wired network profile.
