Configuring LAN Interface for an AOS-10 VPNC
To configure the LAN Local Area Network. A LAN is a network of connected devices within a distinct geographic area such as an office or a commercial establishment and share a common communications line or wireless link to a server. interface on a VPNC, complete the following steps:
- In the WebUI, set the filter to Global or a group that contains at least one Branch Gateway that is configured as an AOS-10VPNC.
- Under , click > .
A list of gateways is displayed in the view. - Click a gateway under .
The dashboard context for the gateway device is displayed. - Under , click .
The gateway configuration page is displayed.
If you are accessing the VPNC configuration page for the first time, the wizard opens automatically. Otherwise, click the . - In the tab, click the icon in the table to add a VLAN Virtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN..
- In the New VLAN pop-up, configure the following parameters:
- —Enter a name for the VLAN.
- —Enter the VLAN ID.a
- —Enter an IP address.
- —Enter the subnet Subnet is the logical division of an IP network. mask.
- Click and the click Next.
- Click the icon in the table.
- Configure the following parameters in the New LAN Port / Port Channel pop-up window:
- Enter a for the port.
- Select the from the list of available ports.
- Select one of the following modes from the drop-down list:
- —Select this option to allow the LAN port to carry traffic only for the VLAN to which they are assigned.
- Access VLAN—Select the VLAN ID assigned to the port or port channel.
- — Select this option to allow the LAN port to carry traffic for multiple VLANs. If you select the mode, configure a list of allowed VLANs. The following options are available:
- (optional)—The untagged VLAN ID for the port or port channel.
- (optional)—The range of VLAN IDs assigned to the port or port channel including the Native VLAN.
- —Select this option to allow the LAN port to carry traffic only for the VLAN to which they are assigned.

Select the LLDP Link Layer Discovery Protocol. LLDP is a vendor-neutral link layer protocol in the Internet Protocol suite used by network devices for advertising their identity, capabilities, and neighbors on an IEEE 802 local area network, which is principally a wired Ethernet. Enabled checkbox to allow network devices to advertise their identity and capabilities on a LAN.
- Click Save.
- Click Next.
- Review the Summary page and click .
When there are any errors in the configuration, the Finish button is disabled. You must resolve the errors to proceed to the next step.
