Viewing the Profile of a Specific Client
The Profile tab displays the classification, static attributes, flow attributes, and network activity of a specific client.
NMS Network Management System. NMS is a set of hardware and/or software tools that allow an IT professional to supervise the individual components of a network within a larger network management framework. accounts do not have access to the ClearPass Device Insight application. Instead, NMS accounts can use the Clients Profile feature that is available on the following clusters:

To view the profile of a specific client:
- In the WebUI, set the filter to .
- Under

page is displayed in the view. This is the default view.
, click . - In the clients list, select a client. The page for the selected client is displayed.
- Click the tab.
- The Profile tab displays the following details:
Category—Displays the device category of the client. For example: Computer
Family—Displays the family OS of the client. For example: Windows
OS—Displays the OS running on the client. For example: Windows 10
Tags—Displays the tags applied to the client. For example: Computers and Servers
Classification—Displays the device classification applied to the client
- Classified by—Displays how the client is classified. For example: System Rule
- Conditions—Displays the conditions applied to classify the client. For example: DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to an IP-enabled device from a defined range of numbers configured for a given network. Static Attributes—Displays the static attributes applied to the client
- DHCP—Displays the static DHCP options applied to the client. For example: Option12 = auto and Option55 = 1, 15, 3, 6, 44, 46, 47, 31, 33, 121, 249, 252, 43
- MAC Media Access Control. A MAC address is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on a network. OUI Organizationally Unique Identifier. Synonymous with company ID or vendor ID, an OUI is a 24-bit, globally unique assigned number, referenced by various standards. The first half of a MAC address is OUI.—Displays the MAC Organizationally Unique Identifier (OUI) of the client. For example: 28d244
- User Agent—Displays the user agent applied running on the client. For example: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 6.3; Win64; .NET4.0E; .NET4.0C; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR
Flow Attributes—Displays the flow attributes applied to the client
- Application Group—Displays the application group applied to the client. For example: business-systems.encrypted-tunnel, business-systems.network, collaboration.email, and collaboration.voip-video.
- Application ID—Displays the application ID of the client. For example: Unknown, chrome-update, and dns
- Destination Connection—Displays the destination connections applied to the client. For example: 10.20.50.10:0:udp and 10.20.50.25:0:udp
- Destination Host—Displays the destination host reached by the client. For example: google.com and windowsupdate.com
Network Activity—Displays the activity of the client in the network.
- Select a time range to view the network activity graph.
- Click Filter by and select an application to view application specific network activity
- Under Destinations per application, click Top 5, Top 10, or All to toggle the network activity by top 5, top 10, or all destinations per application.
- Click Reset to reset the network activity graphs.
Under Static Attributes and Flow Attributes, click
