Changing Time Zone and Configuring NTP Server

This section describes how to change the time zone and how to configure the NTP Network Time Protocol. NTP is a protocol for synchronizing the clocks of computers over a network. server.

Changing Time Zone

To change the time zone:

  1. Go to the Collector CLI.

  2. Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate to the Change Timezone/NTP option, and press Enter.

  3. Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate to the Change Timezone option, and press Enter. A list of regions and their corresponding numbers are displayed. The following list is an example of regions that are displayed:

    1 - Africa 2 - America 3 - Antarctica 4 - Arctic 5 - Asia 6 - Atlantic 7 - Australia ... Select region:

  4. In the Select timezone field, use the up and down arrow keys to select the required time zone.

  5. Press Esc until you go back to the main menu.

Configuring NTP Server

To configure a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server:

  1. Go to the Collector CLI.

  2. Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate to the Change Timezone/NTP option, and press Enter.

  3. Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate to the Configure NTP option, and press Enter.

  4. In the NTP Server field, enter the NTP server hostname and press Enter. A message is displayed that the NTP server is configured.

  5. Press Esc until you go back to the main menu.
