Central System Alerts

HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises allows you to configure and enable the following Central System alerts:

To enable or disable all the central system alerts on a single click, you can use the Enable All or Disable All button respectively.

  • System CPU Utilization—Generates an alert when the system CPU Central Processing Unit.  A CPU is an electronic circuitry in a computer for processing instructions. utilization exceeds the threshold value at a specific period of time.
  • System Memory Utilization—Generates an alert when the system memory utilization exceeds the threshold value at a specific period of time.
  • System Disk I/O Utilization—Generates an alert when the system disk I/O utilization exceeds the threshold value at a specific period of time.
  • System Disk Usage—Generates an alert when the system disk usage exceeds the threshold value at a specific period of time.
  • COP Service Status—Generates an alert when the status of the service is red for a certain duration.
  • Infra CPU Usage—Generates an alert for when a pod's CPU usage is above threshold for a specific period of time.
  • Infra Memory Usage—Generates an alert when a pod's memory usage is above threshold for a specific period of time.
  • Infra Disk Usage—Generates an alert when a node's disk usage is above threshold for a specific period of time. This alert is enable by default.
  • Infra Load Average—Generates an alert when a node's load average is above threshold for a specific period of time.
  • Node Not Ready—Generates an alert when a node is not up or is in Not Ready status for a specific period of time. This alert is enable by default.
  • COP Upgrade Schedule—Generates an alert when there is a new HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises version available for upgrade. The grace period for the upgrade is set to 30 days. If the upgrade is not performed, then the HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises user interface is locked for the customers. By default, the alert severity is set to Critical and the alert interval is set to 3 days, which indicates that every 3 days a notification is sent to the customer to complete the upgrade. To customize the alert notification interval time, select the Select the interval for sending alerts drop-downlist and select the preferred time.
  • COP Upgrade Check Failed—If the HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises system is not connected to the internet, and upgrade check fails, then the system generates an alert to inform the customer to connect to the internet in 45 days. If not connected then the HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises user interface is locked for the customers. By default, the alert severity is set to Critical and the alert interval is set to 3 days, which indicates that every 3 days a notification is sent to the customer to connect to the internet.
  • ILO Fans Status—Generates an alert when the fan fails. This alert is enabled by default and the alert severity is set to Critical. In the Duration field, enter the period after which the alert must be generated. The default value is 5 minutes.
  • ILO Network Status—Generates an alert when a network is disconnected for a specific period. This alert is enabled by default and the alert severity is set to Critical. In the Duration field, enter the period after which the alert must be generated. The default value is 5 minutes.
  • ILO Power Supply Status—Generates an alert when the power supply fails or when the power supply is redundant. This alert is enabled by default and the alert severity is set to Critical. In the Duration field, enter the period after which the alert must be generated. The default value is 5 minutes.
  • ILO Storage Status—Generates an alert when the ILO storage exceeds the threshold value. This alert is enabled by default and the alert severity is set to Critical. In the Duration field, enter the period after which the alert must be generated. The default value is 5 minutes.
  • ILO Temperature Status—Generates an alert when the temperature is high for a specific period. This alert is enabled by default and the alert severity is set to Critical. In the Duration field, enter the period after which the alert must be generated. The default value is 5 minutes.
  • COP Certificate Expiry Status—Generates an alert about the expiry of a certificate. It is generated 60 days before the certificate expiry date. By default, the alert severity is set to Critical and the alert interval is set to 1 day, which indicates that every day a notification is sent to the customer to check the certificate status.

    For customers who have upgraded from HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises 2.5.6 or earlier versions to 2.5.7, and have created self-signed certificates, COP Certificate Expiry Status alert must be enabled manually. If the self-signed certificate is about to expire or has already expired, you should contact TAC Technical Assistance Center. .
