WAN Summary on the Controller Dashboard
The tab under in the controller dashboard displays the following sections:
Navigating to the WAN Tab
To navigate to the tab in the controller dashboard, complete the following steps:
- In the HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises app Short form for application. It generally refers to the application that is downloaded and used on mobile devices. , set the filter to one of the options under , , or . Ensure that the filter selection contains at least one controller. For all devices, set the filter to .
The dashboard context for the selected filter is displayed.
- Under , click > .
A list of controllers is displayed.
- Click a controller or cluster under .
The dashboard context for the specific controller is displayed.
- Under , click .
The data is populated for a time range of 3 hours by default. To view the data for a different time range, click the Time Range Filter and select , , , or as required.
Port Status
Provides a graphical representation of the controller's WAN Wide Area Network. WAN is a telecommunications network or computer network that extends over a large geographical distance. link availability. Also provides a quick view of the WAN port status.
Figure 1 Port Status on WAN tab
Click a WAN port to view the port detail graphs based on Packets or Errors.
The following graphs are displayed under the tab:
- —The number of unicast packets per second.
- —The number of multicast packets per second.
- —The number of broadcast packets per second.
The following graphs are displayed under the tab:
- —The number of errors in transmitted data.
- —The number of formatting rules violation.
- —The number of times data was transmitted from devices at the same time.
WAN Interfaces
On the table, hover on the WAN interface name to view the additional parameter for the WAN interface.
The following additional parameters are displayed for the WAN interface:
- —Uptime of the uplink (DD-HH-MM).
- —Default gateway.
- —Port speed.
- —Service provider uplink type (Physical / Virtual).
- —Private IP address.
- —Backup of WAN interface (Enabled or Disabled).
Click > corresponding to the name to expand the section and view the following details:
- —Provides an overall graphical representation of the selected interface's WAN availability based on reachability. The graph shows the selected WAN port's ability to reach its default gateway and health check IP.
- —Provides a snapshot of the WAN usage and is available only for specific information. You can see the incoming and outgoing traffic for the controllers with time plotted on the x-axis. Hover over the chart to see the incoming and outgoing traffic for a particular time frame.
- —Provides a graphical representation of the selected WAN interface's throughput. The graph displays the WAN interface's transmit and receive performance in Kbps.
Click the following icons to see the chart in logarithmic scale or linear scale.
Logarithmic Scale—Click this icon to view chart in logarithmic scale.
Linear Scale—Click this icon to view chart in linear scale.
Click Received or Sent at the bottom of the chart to view or hide the usage chart for received or sent data.
- —Displays the MOS score of interface and the following graphs based on the selected probe. For a health check probe, only Latency and Packet Loss graphs are displayed.
—The latency in milliseconds.
—Displays the packet loss in percentage.
—Displays the jitter in milliseconds. Jitter graph is displayed only when there is actual jitter observed in network.
—Displays the MOS score.
