Scale Devices for Cluster

HPE Aruba Networking Central supports switches, controllers, Instant APs, and Campus APs. When multiple nodes are added in the cluster, accordingly the number of supported devices increase.

The Single-node deployment of HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises supports the Datacenter Redundancy functionality. For more information, see Configure Redundancy.

Three Node	8000	8000 APs, where APs can be either Instant APs, Campus APs, or APs along with the controllers that manage APs; or a mix of any of these devices. 3000 AOS-S or AOS-CX switches or a mix of the two can be deployed in switch-only deployment. In a mixed-mode of switches and APs, up to 6000 APs (Instant APs or Campus APs) and 2000 switches (AOS-S or AOS-CX) are supported.
Five Node	16000	16000 Campus APs along with the controllers that manage APs can be deployed. 12000 Instant APs can be deployed. 4000 AOS-S or AOS-CX switches or a mix of the two can be deployed in switch-only deployment. In a mixed-mode of switches and APs, up to 12000 (Instant APs or Campus APs) and 4000 (AOS-S or AOS-CX) switches are supported.
Seven Node	25000	25000 Campus APs along with the controllers that manage APs can be deployed. 25000 Instant APs can be deployed in Instant AP-only deployment. 10000 AOS-S switches can be deployed in AOS-S switch-only deployment. 6000 AOS-CX switches can be deployed in AOS-CX switch-only deployment. In a mixed-mode of AOS-CX switches and APs, up to 19000 APs (Instant AP or Campus APs) and 6000 AOS-CX switches are supported. In a mixed-mode of AOS-Sswitches and APs, up to 15000 APs (Instant AP or Campus APs) and 10000 AOS-Sswitches are supported.
Eleven Node	40000	40000 Campus APs along with the controllers that manage APs can be deployed. 34000 Instant APs can be deployed in an Instant AP-only deployment. 10000 AOS-S switches can be deployed in an AOS-S switch-only deployment. 6000 AOS-CX switches can be deployed in an AOS-CX switch-only deployment. In a mixed-mode of AOS-CX switches and APs, up to 34000 APs (Instant AP or Campus APs) and 6000 AOS-CX switches are supported. In a mixed-mode of AOS-S switches and APs, up to 30000 APs (Instant AP or Campus APs) and 10000 AOS-S switches are supported.

Limitations

The following features are not supported on a single-node deployment:

Live Events
API Application Programming Interface. Refers to a set of functions, procedures, protocols, and tools that enable users to build application software. Streaming
Live Packet Capture
API Gateway
RAPIDS Rogue Access Point identification and Detection System. An AMP module that is designed to identify and locate wireless threats by making use of all of the information available from your existing infrastructure.
UCC Unified Communications and Collaboration. UCC is a term used to describe the integration of various communications methods with collaboration tools such as virtual whiteboards, real-time audio and video conferencing, and enhanced call control capabilities.
