Navigating to Datacenter Redundancy Tab
To navigate to the Datacenter Redundancy tab, complete the following steps:
-
In the HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises app Short form for application. It generally refers to the application that is downloaded and used on mobile devices. , set the filter to Global.
- Under , select > Datacenter Redundancy.
The tab is displayed. It consists of the following parameters:
Enable Redundancy—If the Enable Redundancy toggle switch is turned on, it indicates that the disaster recovery is configured. When a failover is detected, the replicated HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises cluster starts processing in its entirety.
Auto Failover—If the Auto Failover toggle switch is in enabled state, it indicates that replicated HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises cluster will automatically transfer control when a failure is detected. If Auto Failover is not enabled, you can use the CLI Command-Line Interface. A console interface with a command line shell that allows users to execute text input as commands and convert these commands to appropriate functions. to initiate the failover because the WebUI is not accessible on the secondary cluster. For more information, see Handling Upgrade in DR-Enabled Clusters.
Restore Frequency (Days)—The number of days between two consecutive successful restore operations. For example, if it is set to 3 days. The restore function is processed on Day 1 and Day 5.
Time to Failover (In mins)—Specify a number between 30 to 120. This parameter is applicable only for auto failover mechanism. The value is specified in minutes. The HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises clusters check the health status for the specified time before failing over. For example, if the time is set to 30 minutes. When the secondary cluster does not get a response from the primary cluster or vice versa, then the secondary cluster considers primary cluster is down after the specified 30 minutes. In such a scenario, the secondary cluster attains the role of primary. This switchover process takes approximately 60 minutes.
Initiate Redundancy Switchover—Click the Trigger Failover button to initiate a manual switchover of the system.
DR Pairing Key—Click the Copy DR Pairing Key To Clipboard link to copy the DR key for the redundancy configuration. Copy the key for primary HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises cluster and specify it in secondary cluster and vice versa.
Data Sync Status—The data synchronization status between the HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises clusters.
Data Sync Time—The timestamp of when the latest data synchronization operation was done.
Redundancy Status—The configuration details are displayed on the Redundancy Status table such as Appliance, Current Role, Health Status, Last Heartbeat Received from Peer, and Last Failover Time.
