Device Firmware Recommendation
The AI-Powered Firmware insight provides an overview of the latest supported version of firmware for the device and the model details of the device. Upgrading firmware on devices is a time-consuming task that might require rebooting of devices leading to service disruption. As a result, upgrades are performed during a maintenance window.
You can view the AI-Powered firmware insight for the following device types:
Viewing Access Point Firmware Recommender
The Access Point Firmware Recommendation Available tab displays the number of firmware upgrade recommendations for access points. The tab also provides a timestamp when the AI-Powered Network Optimization was generated.
To access the AI-powered access point firmware recommender, complete the following steps:

Access the Insights page. For more information, see Accessing Insights Page.

Click the Access Point Firmware Recommendation tab.

In the Access Point Firmware Recommendation window, you can view the following information:

Firmware Recommendation Summary - Access Points—The card displays the firmware recommendations based on model and current firmware. You can view the following information:

Model—Displays the hardware model of AP.

Current Firmware—Displays the current firmware version running on the device.

Recommended Firmware—Displays the version to which the device is recommended for the upgrade. You can click on the version number to view the release notes of that version.

Number of Devices—Displays the number of APs available for the upgrade.

Recommendation Reason—Displays the reason for the recommendation.

Popularity of Recommended Firmware—The charts display the number of devices and customers who have implemented the recommendation based on the firmware version. You can view the following charts:

Device Count by Firmware Version—Displays the count of devices with the recommended firmware version. You can hover over the graph to view the exact count of devices, as well as the date and time from when the firmware version was in use.

Customer Count by Firmware Version—Displays the count of customers with the recommended firmware version. You can hover over the graph to view the exact count of customers, as well as the date and time from when the firmware version was in use.

Viewing Switch Firmware Recommender
The Switch Firmware Recommendation Available tab displays the number of firmware upgrade recommendations for the Switches. The tab also provides a timestamp when the AI-Powered Network Optimization was generated.
To access the AI-powered Switch Firmware Recommender, complete the following steps:

Click the Switch Firmware Recommendation tab.

In the Switch Firmware Recommendation window, you can view the following information:

Available Firmware Recommendation - Switches—The card displays the recommended firmware for the Switches. You must perform the recommended upgrade in Classic Central.

Firmware Recommendation Summary - Switches—The card displays the recommended firmware for the Switch models. You can view the following information:

Model—Displays the hardware model of the Switch.

Current Firmware—Displays the current firmware version of the device.

Recommended Firmware—Displays the version to which the device is recommended for the upgrade. You can click on the version number to view the release notes of that version.

Number of Devices—Displays the number of Switches available for the upgrade.

The Gateway Firmware Recommendation Available tab displays the number of firmware upgrade recommendations for the Gateways. The tab also provides a timestamp of when the alert was generated.
To access the Gateway Firmware Recommender, complete the following steps:

Click the Gateway Firmware Recommendation tab.

In the Gateway Firmware Recommendation window, you can view the following information:

Available Firmware Recommendation - Gateways—The card displays the recommended firmware for the Gateways. You must perform the recommended upgrade in Classic Central.

Firmware Recommendation Summary - Gateways—The card displays the recommended firmware for the Gateway models. You can view the following information:
