Access Point Placement Insights

AP Placement Insight is generated when access points on the floor are incorrectly positioned and location of missing APs. When the AP placements are incorrect, users may see inaccurate information when viewing the APs on the floor plan. In the Floor plan, the insight indicates the AP to swap.

To access the insight, complete the following steps:

1. Access the Insights page. For more information, see Accessing Insights Page.

2. Click the Access Point Placement Insights tile.

   The Devices on the FloorPlan - Access Points page is displayed.

3. Select the floor from the Affected Floors drop-down list.

4. In the Placement Type field, perform one of the following:

   • Devices to Swap—Select the radio button to view the swapped devices. The pink dotted lines indicate the access points to be swapped.

   • Location Missing Devices—Select the radio button to view the location of missing access points.
