Wireless Client Onboarding Experience
The Wireless Client Onboarding Experience insight is used to assess the network performance quality. The insight detects the onboarding experience (time to connect) of clients on a particular network and provides an overall picture of how good or poor the overall connection experience is for various SSIDs on their sites. In addition to overall latency, the insight captures delays at each connectivity stage, such as authentication and DHCP, identifies the point at which the clients experienced delays, and provides relevant underlying causes and recommendations. You can view the analytics for the previous 24 hours or seven days.
To access the Wireless Client Onboarding Experience insight, complete the following steps:

Access the Insights page. For more information, see Accessing Insights Page.

Click the Wireless Client Onboarding Experience tab.

By default, the 7 Days tab is displayed. To view the metrics from the last 24 hours, click the 24 Hours tab.
You can view the following metrics:

Clients Onboarding Time—The graph displays the overall time taken (in seconds) to connect by client devices in the site. The y-axis represents the number of client devices, while the x-axis displays the time taken (latency). Client devices that connect in less than five seconds are called low latency, whereas those that connect in more than five seconds are labeled high latency. You can also hover over the graph to view the exact count of client devices.

Impacted Client Types—Click the Impacted Client Types button to view the list of impacted clients based on the operating system.

In the Impacted Client Type Details window, you can view the following details:

Description
Client Count per OS
The graph depicts the number of impacted clients by operating system. You can hover over the graph to view the exact count.
Impacted Client Table Model/OS
Displays the model number or operating system of the client device.
Client Vendor
Displays the vendor of the wireless client.
OUI Year
Displays the year of manufacture.
Impacted Clients
Displays the number of impacted clients.
High Latency Connections
Displays the number of connections that had high latency value.
Total Connections
Displays the total number of connections.

Latency per connectivity stage—By default, the graph displays the overall WLANs latency during authentication and DHCP stage. You can click on the AUTH and DHCP tabs to view the respective WLAN latency. The y-axis represents the time take by clients (in seconds), while the x-axis displays five vertical bars for healthy SSIDs and five vertical bars for unhealthy SSIDs. The first four bars display the latency for individual SSIDs, while the fifth bar displays the consolidated latency for the remaining SSIDs. You can also hover over the graph to view the exact percentage of client connections with high latency.

An SSID is considered healthy if 75 percent of client devices had an overall latency of less than 4 seconds and the authentication latency was less than 2 seconds.
An SSID is considered impacted if 75 percent of client devices had an overall latency of greater than or equal to 4 seconds and the authentication latency was greater than or equal to 2 seconds.
An SSID is considered healthy if 75 percent of client devices had an overall latency of less than 4 seconds and the DHCP latency was less than 2 seconds.
An SSID is considered impacted if 75 percent of client devices had an overall latency of greater than or equal to 4 seconds and the DHCP latency was greater than 2 seconds.
