Optimize WLAN DFS Configuration to Improve Performance
This insight uses global HPE Aruba Networking Central data on channel occupancy and channel change reasons, as well as AP latitude and longitude data, to train AI models that educate users about the right set of channels to configure for optimum network performance on a per-site basis. Having the right set of channels selected improves connectivity and performance. It prevents access points from abruptly jumping channels in response to a radar incident, resulting in client connectivity difficulties for up to 10 minutes. It can also increase channel availability for users who have disabled DFS channels, as well as improve network performance.

-
Actions card—The table displays the channel configuration based on the radar interference likelihood determined by the devices in the area of this site. Based on the recommendation list you can enable or disable the channels.
-
The map displays the geographical location of the site over a 5 KM radius. The location is color coded in Red, Amber, and Green based on the recommendation as listed below:
-
Red—If the recommendation is to disable channels, then the location is classified in Red.
-
Amber—If the recommendation is to disable and enable few channels, then the location is classified in Amber.
-
Green—If the recommendation is to enable channels to improve bandwidth, then the location is classified in Green.
