Switch Health Insight

The Switch Health Insight feature assists in identifying AOS-CX switches that are experiencing memory leaks. It also specifies details such as the process and firmware version that is causing the memory leak, so that this firmware is not recommended for any other users. The insight also recommends upgrading or downgrading to resolve the issue.

To access the insight, complete the following steps:

1. Access the Insights page. For more information, see Accessing Insights Page.

   1. Click the Switch Health Insight tile.

      The Switch Health page displays the problem name and the number of AOS-CX switches impacted.

2. Click View Details to view the insights page.

   

3. In the insights page you can view the following details:

   • Actions—The card displays the list of switches experiencing memory leak and recommended action. You can view the following information:

     Parameter	Description
     Switch Name	Displays the name of the switch. Click on the switch name to access the switch dashboard. For more information, see Viewing Switch or Switch Stack Dashboard.
     MAC Address	Displays the MAC address of the switch.
     Model	Displays the switch model.
     Memory Intensive Daemons	Displays the top five processes causing memory leak.
     Current Firmware	Displays the current firmware version running on the switch device.
     Recommendation	Displays the recommended firmware version for the device.
     Estimated Time to Memory Exhaustion	Displays the amount of time remaining till the memory limit is reached.

   • Memory Leak Trend—The graph displays the memory leak percentage over a period of time. Hover over the graph to view the actual memory usage percentage for the selected time stamp. You can view the drop-down list to view the details for other switches.
