Search Results

Performing a search operation displays the Search Results page, which has the following information:

  • Search Scope—Displays the context for which the results are displayed.

    • When a search operation is performed in a Site context, the drop-down menu lists all the available sites on the network, which can be used to filter the search results.

      Note:

      The site selector drop-down will be disabled if the search query is an exact match of the site name.

    • When a search operation is performed in the Global context, the drop-down menu lists all the available sites on the network, as well as a Global option to filter results.

      Note:

      A search operation in both Site and Global contexts return the related clients, devices, and documentation results.

  • Category Tabs—Displays tabs that can be used to filter the results based on the result category (Devices, Clients, Applications, Alerts or Documentation)

  • Result Count—Displays the number of items returned from the search operation for the selected category and search scope.

  • Results Section—Displays the search results based on the selected category and search scope.

    For more information on configuring the visibility or adjusting the width of the columns displayed in the table, see Table Utilities.

    Note:

    Clicking on a search result redirects you to the corresponding dashboard.

  • Go to Site Devices—Navigates to the Site dashboard with the Network context selected.

  • Go to Site Clients—Navigates to the Site dashboard with the Clients context selected.

  • Go to Site Applications—Navigates to the Site dashboard with the Applications context selected.

  • Go to Site Alerts—Navigates to the Site dashboard with the Alerts context selected.

  • Note:

    The Go to navigation buttons are only displayed when the AI Search feature is used in the site context.

  • Feedback buttons—allows you to like or dislike the returned results based on your search query. Clicking the like or dislike icons displays a text field you can use to provide feedback on the search results.

If the search query does not have a match, a No <attribute> found for this query. error message is displayed under the corresponding category tab related to the search query.

Note:

The attribute in the error message text corresponds to the search query. For example, if all the clients in the network (or site) have a good or fair experience, a search query like Show clients with poor experience returns a No clients found for this query. error message.

AI Search allows users to locate an AP by entering its BSSID into the search bar. The system retrieves this information from the radio dataset, where each radio MAC address is associated with its corresponding AP, enabling accurate lookup.
