Viewing UCC Information in the Application Dashboard
As UCC detects, monitors, and prioritizes collaboration applications such as Teams, Zoom, SIP, FaceTime, and Wi-Fi calling, it surfaces key performance insights across the Applications experience. From the Applications List View side panel, users can access the Summary View, which includes the Call Session Records, also known as the Call Session Summary Card. This card summarizes UCC call session data relevant to the selected context and timeframe. When a specific application or client is selected and becomes the sun, the performance card shows call session information as well.
To access Unified Communications and Collaboration application data in HPE Aruba Networking Central, complete the following steps:
-
In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site from the Sites menu having at least one application.
Alternatively, you can click the expand
icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list. -
Click on the Applications planet.
The list of applications is displayed. You can filter UCC applications using the funnel filter by selecting Unified Communications, or locate UCC applications directly using the search bar.

Figure 2: Application Dashboard — Call Session Summary Card
The Call Session Summary Card provides users with a quick, high-level snapshot of UCC call activity within the selected time range. It uses the start and end time selected in the global time drop-down. This approach delivers faster insights by enabling immediate understanding of UCC call activity, while improving the user experience by clearly signaling at a glance whether deeper investigation is needed. It maintains consistent context by staying aligned with the selected application, site, and time filters. It fully completes the analytical flow from high-level summary to detailed visualization for deeper exploration.
In the Call Session Summary Card, the user can review the total number of users and total number of calls. In Call Quality, the donut chart displays the call quality categories: Good, Fair, Poor.
UCC Donut Chart List
For Call Session Information, the donut chart list ensures consistency between chart visuals and list data, and displays calculated summary values that drive the donut chart. It improves performance review by allowing users to numerically verify what they see in charts, enhancing usability for those users who prefer working with tables over visualizations. It supports more effective troubleshooting by making call quality trends easier to validate, and ultimately builds trust by ensuring that visual analytics are consistently backed by reliable, accessible data.

UCC Call Session Table
While summary views such as donut charts and aggregated lists are useful for identifying overall trends, users also need the ability to drill down into individual UCC calls. The UCC CDR Table is useful to troubleshoot specific issues, review raw call session data, validate quality metrics like latency, jitter, and packet loss, and filter calls using multiple criteria.
In this detailed table, each row represents a single UCC call session, including:
-
Call start time and duration
-
Participant information
-
Call quality classification
-
Latency, jitter, packet loss
-
Device details
-
Site and AP identifiers
By enabling direct inspection of individual calls, it supports effective root-cause analysis and significantly improves troubleshooting efficiency without relying solely on aggregate summaries. It also helps users validate what charts and summaries are indicating, building confidence by exposing the raw data behind call quality scores.
UCC Call Session Histogram
When a user clicks the expanded view of a Call Session card within the Application Context, the UI now opens a modal dialog that brings together two coordinated components:
-
UCC Call Session Histogram Chart
-
UCC Call Session Table
This capability enables effective trend analysis by showing how call quality evolves over time, while supporting strong visual insights through histogram and time-series charts. By combining visual trends with detailed, call level data in a single dialog, this feature improves usability, accelerates troubleshooting, and completes the analytics flow from API to visualization to investigation. It enhances the UCC experience by enabling an intuitive and complete exploration of call quality and performance within one cohesive interface.
