Viewing Application Visibility in Summary View

The summary view provides a graphical representation of the application usage and performance metrics.

To navigate to the Applications summary view, complete the following steps:

1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site from the Sites menu having at least one application.

   Alternatively, you can click the expand icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list.

   The site dashboard is displayed with the network and connectivity information for the site.

2. Click on the Applications planet.

3. Click the summary icon.

   The Applications summary view is displayed.

   The following cards are displayed:

   • Top Application Categories—Displays the top 5 application categories with the most usage.

     Click the application category to view further details. The Applications list view is displayed with the category filter.

   • Top Website Categories—Displays the top 5 website categories with most usage.

     Click the website category to view further details. The Applications list view is displayed with the category filter.

   • Applications By Security Risk—Displays a donut chart of the applications and websites by security risk.

     The security risk is categorized as:

     • Suspicious—The security risk level of the application is suspicious.

     • Moderate Risk—The security risk level of the application falls within the medium range.

     • Low Risk—The security risk level of the application is considered low.

     • Trustworthy—The application is considered trustworthy.

     • Not Evaluated—The security risk of the application is unknown.

     You can hover over each section in the chart to see the number of applications per risk. Click the section to view further details on the applications. The Applications list view is displayed with the risk filter.

   • Applications Usage—Displays the throughput and the number of active clients for the selected category.

     Click the drop-down option in the card to select a category. By default, the category with the highest usage is selected.

   • Top Applications—Displays the 5 most used applications in a selected category.

     Click the drop-down option in the card to select a category. By default, the category with the highest usage is selected. You can also search for a category by name.
