Viewing Network Information in the Application Dashboard

To view the network information in the application dashboard, do the following:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site from the Sites menu having at least one application.

    Alternatively, you can click the expand icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list.

    The site dashboard is displayed with the network and connectivity information for the site.

  2. Click on the Applications planet.

    The Application Visibility table displays a list of all active and inactive applications from the last three hours by default.

  3. Select an application from the list.

    The Application dashboard page for the selected application is displayed.

  4. Navigate to the left panel of the interface and click on the Network planet.

    The Network dashboard for the application is displayed.

    A list view of all active network devices associated with the application is displayed. The Network planet in the left panel shows the total number of devices. The following table describes the columns in the list view.

    Column

    Description

    Name

    Displays the device health icon, device name, and device status. The following device health icons are displayed:

    • —The device is in good health.

    • —The device is in fair health based on the device metrics. For example, an AP is in fair health when one or more radio metrics of the AP such as the channel utilization, noise floor, and channel quality are fair.

    • —The device is either offline or in poor health based on the device metrics. For example, an AP is in poor health when it is either offline, or when one or more AP metrics such as the CPU, memory, radio channel utilization, radio noise floor, and radio channel quality is poor.

    Application Health

    Displays insights on how different applications are performing.

    The experience indicators are:

    • Green—Application has good health.

    • Yellow—Application has fair health.

    • Red—Application has poor health.

    • Gray—Application health is unknown.

    UXI Status

    Displays a color-coded bar denoting the user experience insights for the application. The experience indicators are:

    • Green—Application has good experience.

    • Yellow—Application has fair experience.

    • Red—Application has poor experience.

    • Gray—Application experience is unknown.

    Hover over the bar to see the percentage of good, fair, or poor experience for the application over the last 15 minutes. For information on how experience is calculated, see How Application Health Is Calculated.

    Type

    Displays the device icon, device type, virtual controller name (when applicable), and device topology.

    MAC Address

    Displays the MAC address of the device.

    IP Address

    Displays the IP address of the device.

    Model

    Displays the device model name.

    Serial Number

    Displays the device serial number.

    Software Version

    Displays the software version installed on the device.

    Usage

    Displays the data usage for the network device for the selected application within the time frame specified.
