Configuration Health Device-Specific Error Page

The Configuration Health device-specific error page displays detailed information about the configuration synchronization status of a specific device, along with the configuration processing results associated with that device (Import, Validation, and Distribution). The information helps identify why a device is Out of Sync and provides recommended actions to restore synchronization. For synchronized devices, additional information such as Filtered Configuration are available through the info icon.

To view the Configuration Health device-specific error page, navigate to the Configuration Health dashboard and select an Out of Sync or Synchronized status under the Configuration Status column.

The Configuration Health device-specific error page is structured as follows:

  • The left panel displays the error categories detected for the device, grouped by configuration processing stages such as (Import, Validation, and Distribution).

    For more information on error categories, see Error Categories.

  • The right panel lists the specific configuration items affected within each error category, including the issue type, impacted scope, and recommended corrective action. You can click on the Error column description to see the exact error log and commands that failed during the push along with device-reported error messages.

Each issue entry is designed to provide quick access to the related configuration profile.

The following table describes the columns in the right panel of a selected error category.

Column

Description

Name Displays the name of the configuration profile in the selected error category of the device.
Type Displays the configuration profile type in the selected error category of the device.
Assigned to Scope Displays the scope to which the configuration issue profile is mapped (Global, Site-Collection, Site, Device, and Device Group).
Issue Displays the description of the issue that causes the configuration profile to fail.
Recommended Action Displays the recommended action to resolve the issue.
Time Displays the date and time of when the issue occurred.
Note:

The table in the right panel only displays the columns applicable to the selected error category.

To exit the Configuration Health device-specific error page, click the close icon.

Use Cases

The Configuration Health device-specific error page is used to:

  • Investigate why a specific device is Out of Sync. For Synchronized devices, additional information such as Filtered Configuration are available if applicable.

  • Identify which configuration profiles or scopes are impacted.

  • View actionable recommendations to restore synchronization and maintain configuration consistency.
