Editing a Service

To edit a service, complete the following steps:

Note:

You cannot edit a default service.

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site from the Sites menu.

    Alternatively, you can click the expand icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list.

    The site dashboard is displayed with the network and connectivity information for the site.

  2. Click the configuration icon.

    The Network Overview page is displayed.

  3. Click Library.

  4. Click the Named Objects tab on the right.

  5. Under the Services tile, click Manage Services.

    The Services table is displayed with a list of service aliases.

  6. In the Services table, hover over a service alias, and click the Ellipsis icon.

  7. Click the edit icon.

    The Edit Services panel is displayed on the right.

  8. Configure the following parameters:

    • Name—Name of the service alias.

      Note:

      The name of a network service alias cannot be edited.

    • Description—Enter a description of the service alias.

      The description can include a maximum of 128 characters including letters, numbers, and special characters.

    • Attributes Protocol—Select one of the following radio buttons:

      • TCP

      • UDP

      • Protocol Number

    • Ports—Enter a single port, a dash-separated list of port numbers, or a comma-separated list of port numbers.

      Note:

      This parameter is applicable only when you select TCP or UDP from the Attributes Protocol list.

    • Protocol Number—Enter IP protocol number for which you want to create an alias.

      Note:

      This parameter is applicable only when you select Protocol Number from the Attributes Protocol list.

    • Restrict to following application (ALG)—To limit the service alias to a specific application, select one of the following service types from the Application Level Gateway (ALG) drop-down list:

      • DHCP

      • DNS

      • Facetime

      • FTP

      • H323

      • ICMP

      • Jabber

      • MSRPC

      • NOE

      • RTSP

      • SCCP

      • SIP

      • SIPS

      • SUNRPC

      • SVP

      • TFTP

      • VOCERA

  9. Click Update.
