System Information Profile

The System Information profile allows you to create and manage system information settings for a selected device.

Note:

The System Information profile is available only when a single supported device is selected.

The System Information profile is available only at Devices scope.

Users can configure only one System Information profile for each selected device.

Creating a System Information Profile

To create a System Information profile, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the configurationicon.
    The Profiles tab is displayed.

  2. In the left navigation menu, select Devices.

  3. On the System card, click Manage.

    The System Information list view is displayed.

  4. On the System Information card, click Manage.

  5. Click Create Profile.

    The Create Profile side panel is displayed.

  6. Configure the System Information parameters as described in the following table.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    Enter the name of the System Information profile.

    Host Name

    Enter the hostname of the selected device.

    Note:

    This parameter is used instead of Hostname alias. For Gateway and PVOS devices, this field is mandatory.

    System Description

    Enter a descriptive text for the System Information profile.

    SNMP V3 Engine ID

    Enter the SNMPv3 engine ID for supported device types.

  7. Click Create.

    The newly created System Information profile is displayed in the System Information list.

Note:

The System Information profile is configured as a single-instance, device-level workflow.

Editing a System Information Profile

To edit a System Information profile, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the configuration icon.

    The Profiles tab is displayed by default.

  2. In the left navigation menu, select Devices.

  3. Select a gateway for which you want to edit the System Information profile.

  4. On the System Information card, click Manage.

    The System Information list view is displayed.

  5. Click on a System Information profile from the table.
    The Edit Profile side panel is displayed.

  6. Edit the relevant parameters described in System Information Profile Parameters.

  7. Click Update.

Deleting a System Information Profile

To delete a System Information profile, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the configuration icon.

    The Profiles tab is displayed by default.

  2. In the left navigation menu, select Devices.

  3. On the System Information card, click Manage.

    The System Information list view is displayed.

  4. Select a gateway for which you want to edit the System Information profile.

  5. Hover over the profile that you want to delete, and click the delete icon.
    The Delete Profile pop-up window is displayed.

  6. Click Delete.

Note:

To search for a profile, type the profile name in the search bar. The search bar displays dynamic results as soon as you start typing.
