Network Usage Report Format

The Network Usage report supports the following KPIs:

Based on the KPIs and the format selected while creating a report, the data in the Network Usage report are available in the view listed below.

  • List view—Displays the selected KPI in list format.

  • Bar-chart view—Displays the selected KPI in bar-chart format.

  • Trend-chart view—Displays the selected KPI in trend-chart format.

  • Multi view—Displays the selected KPI in both list and bar-chart view.

The report displays up to 100 entries for each KPI. The following topic describes the parameters present in the KPI of Network Usage report.

Report Header

The report header contains the following parameters:

Parameter

Name of the report

Displays the name of the report.

Report Type

Displays the type of the report.

Scope

Displays the context in which the report is generated. For example, at a global-level, site-level, or multiple-site-level.

Report Period

Displays the time span for which the report is generated.

Generated On

Displays the date and time when the report is completed.

Top Devices by Wired Usage

The Top Devices by Wired Usage KPI is available in list view.

Note:

This table shows only the interface throughput data for non-uplink (downlink) interfaces.

The Max and Average Uplink Throughput KPI is available in list view.

The Top Sites by Wired Usage KPI is available in list view and bar-chart view. The report displays up to 25 entries in HTML and PDF format, and up to 100 entries in CSV format.

The Top WLANs Throughput Trend chart displays the top 5 SSIDs by throughput within a selected time range. The chart also displays the maximum and average throughput for each SSID for the time range. The color-coded sections are used to indicate different SSIDs.

Top WLANs by Usage

The Top WLANs by Usage KPI is available in list view. The report displays up to 100 entries for this KPI in list view.

Top Wired Uplink Throughput Trend

The Top Wired Uplink Throughput Trend KPI is available in trend-chart view.

Trend-Chart View

The Top Wired Uplink Throughput Trend chart displays the top 5 SSIDs by uplink throughput within a selected time range. The chart also displays the maximum and average throughput for each SSID for the time range. The color-coded sections are used to indicate different SSIDs.

Top WLANs by Average Clients

The Top WLANs by Average Clients KPI is available in list view. The report displays up to 100 entries for this KPI in list view.

The Top Clients by WLAN Usage KPI is available in list view and bar-chart view. The report displays up to 25 entries for this KPI in list view.

Top WLANs by Average Wireless Clients Trend

Note: If the selected time range is under 24 hours, data is sampled in five minute intervals. For time ranges exceeding 24 hours, data is sampled in three hour intervals.

The Average Wireless Clients Trend chart displays the average number of wireless clients connected to the device in a selected time range. The color-coded sections are used to indicate different SSIDs.

Top WLANs by Maximum Wireless Clients Trend

Note: If the selected time range is under 24 hours, data is sampled in five minute intervals. For time ranges exceeding 24 hours, data is sampled in three hour intervals.

The Maximum Wireless Clients Trend chart displays the maximum number of wireless clients connected to the device in a selected time range. The color-coded sections are used to indicate different SSIDs.
