Integrating Client Insights with ClearPass Policy Manager

HPE Aruba Networking Central enables integration with ClearPass Policy Manager Network Access Control (NAC) platform. This integration passes profile and tag information to ClearPass Policy Manager. Currently, the integration between HPE Aruba Networking Central and ClearPass Policy Manager relies on Classic Central for initial setup. To integrate HPE Aruba Networking Central with ClearPass Policy Manager, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Classic Central app, slide the New Central toggle switch.

  2. On the left navigation panel, under Maintain, click Organization.

  3. Click Data Collectors.

  4. Under Configure Appliances, click Registration Token.

  5. In the Registration Token window, click Copy Token.

  6. Log in to ClearPass Policy Manager.

  7. On the left navigation panel, go to Administration > Server Manager > Device Insight.

    The Device Insight Integration dashboard is displayed.

  8. For Central Mode, select the Central NextGen check box.

  9. In the Registration Token box, paste the Registration Token that you copied.

  10. Click Save.

Once this token is registered, the data collected through Client Insights can be viewed in ClearPass Policy Manager. You can view the data endpoints in the ClearPass Policy Manager, in two different ways:
