Key Features of Client Insights

The following are some of the key features of Client Insights.

Easily Navigable User Interface

Client Insights comes with an easy-to-use user interface that provides visibility into the details of the clients that connect to your network, whether they are online or offline. Multiple display options enable you to view the details of the clients summarized at different levels, such as summary, client type, network, vendor, operating system, and others. You can further refine the classification using the filter options to view the details of the clients at more granular levels. This rich filtering capability enables you to quickly find desired clients, making it easier for troubleshooting.

Client Classification

Client Insights groups known and unknown clients into client clusters, by analyzing client attributes using different parameters, including behavior and communication patterns. At the highest level, it lets you know which clients have been identified, and which are yet to be classified. In the donut chart on the Classification card, you can view all the clients that connect to your network, both classified and unclassified.

Clients are further organized in the following system-defined categories: Category, Function, Vendor, and Model/OS. You can also use the personalized tags to create customized groups. Tagged clients are visible in the Tag column.

Tag-based Personalized Categories

With Client Insights, you can create a tag and use it to group similar clients together. Tags can only be applied to classified clients. For more information, see Client Tags.
