Networking Copilot QueryGen
QueryGen is a powerful feature within Networking Copilot that enables users to execute complex, multi-table queries to extract meaningful insights from HPE Aruba Networking Central data. Unlike simple keyword searches, QueryGen supports advanced data correlation, by joining enriched datasets across AP device statistics, AP radio statistics, and client statistics. This expanded coverage allows Copilot to answer complex questions, including both global and site-level queries related to AP reboots, radio conditions, roaming behavior, and client performance. By consolidating data, QueryGen helps network administrators analyze performance trends, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and generate comprehensive reports more efficiently.
To support large environments, additional enhancements introduce global context awareness, enabling more efficient GraphQL queries, accurate global counts, and pagination support. The resulting table adapts based on the query type, showing only the most relevant columns. This dynamic generation of results ensures that users receive targeted information without needing to navigate multiple interfaces, significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing reliance on external support.
Networking Copilot returns site-related information by converting the text-based list of sites into a structured, interactive table. It displays site data in a clear tabular format that includes the site name, number of devices (both online and offline), and a sortable layout ordered by device count. Site names are also hyperlinked, allowing users to navigate directly to the corresponding Solar site page. To ensure performance and manage token usage, the maximum output is 500 sites. This enhancement creates a more intuitive and NOC-like experience for users when querying site lists.

Also, users can now query for radios by band such as 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz, list radios that are up or down, and identify which site has the most radios or APs enabled. The results are presented in a detailed table that includes radio state, band, and related AP information, with hyperlinks to navigate directly to device pages.

Alerts
Networking Copilot introduces more granular groupings such as Clients, System, LAN, and WLAN. It now supports queries like Show client-related alerts or What WLAN alerts do we have, returning results in a comprehensive table containing all active alerts matching the category and subcategory. It can now narrow down alerts based on contextual information from the user’s query. Using this context, Networking Copilot is able to filter alerts by their type IDs, providing greater accuracy than relying on name-based searches.

Networking Copilot supports connectivity and application alerts that are critical for maintaining network health. Connectivity alerts (e.g., 802.1X, DNS, DHCP, MAC Auth server timeouts) are identified by specific alert IDs and are visualized as unique pills, ensuring no duplication for the same issue. Similarly, application alerts such as LAN/WAN performance degradation are parsed and presented with contextual data, including client counts, SSID, and AP name, to match test setups. Networking Copilot also supports static alert parsing for port flap issues, enabling administrators to quickly pinpoint and address performance bottlenecks.
Roaming Performance Analytics
Roaming Performance Analytics in Networking Copilot enables the ability to identify roaming clients with frequent roaming events and latency issues by leveraging published roaming event data through query generation. Results are displayed in a dynamic table format with relevant columns based on the question asked, allowing flexible analysis. This feature provides the following capabilities:

Detailed insights into authentication and roaming latency (measured in milliseconds)

Signal strength (RSSI) changes during transitions

Latency bucket distribution (e.g., 0–250 ms, 250–500 ms) to categorize roaming performance

Highlighted high- and low-latency roaming events for quick troubleshooting

Comparative performance metrics across roaming types, including standard 802.11, Fast BSS Transition (802.11r), and Opportunistic Key Caching (OKC), to help optimize mobility strategies

Roaming performance analysis per client and client vendor level for granular visibility

Roaming distribution insights per radio channel, AP model, and AP firmware

Time-based roaming traffic patterns to identify peak hours of roaming activity
Users can also query about inter-band roaming, AP-to-AP roaming analysis, and roaming issues per access point.

Natural Language for QueryGen
Networking Copilot also understands pronouns and references in follow‑up queries by tracking previously mentioned entities throughout the conversation. For example, a user can ask for details about a specific AP and then continue with a query such as Show its clients. Networking Copilot will correctly interpret its as referring to the previously discussed AP. This conversational context can persist for multiple days, enabling natural and sequential troubleshooting.
For Client Connectivity Dashboard, users can ask Networking Copilot plain-English questions about onboarding phases, such as Association, Authentication, DHCP, and DNS. Client-connectivity telemetry is captured through an onboarding-event stream enriched with configuration fields, enabling Copilot to surface these insights.
Usage
Networking Copilot translates natural-language intent into precise queries over time-bounded connectivity metrics for faster triage and trend analysis. Example NL prompts include:

Wireless Client Capability
The Wireless Client Capability feature enables users to query specific information of connected wireless clients using natural language. Users can ask about wireless support details, device capabilities, and compatibility standards, and receive responses based on the current state of connected clients. The response combines data from multiple sources to provide a more complete view, including live client information and historical capability insights from CTKB. Note that responses can vary depending on whether the information is derived from real-time data or pre-processed historical records.
To enable the Wireless Client Capabilities, complete the following steps:

Go to the Clients planet in the Site as a Sun view.

Click the table menu icon and select Customize Columns.
The Customize Columns pop-up window is displayed.
