Installing the Jamf Pro and Jamf School Extensions

To install the Jamf Pro extension, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Classic Central app, turn on the New Central toggle switch.

    The HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page and a list of sites (based on their health) is displayed.

  2. Click the menu icon to open the Global menu.

    The Global menu is displayed with menu items represented as cards.

  3. In the Extensions card, click Manage.

    The Extensions page is displayed. It displays the installed and available extensions under their respective tabs.

  4. Under the Available Extensions tab, in the Jamf card, click Install.

    The Jamf installation side panel is displayed.

  5. Enter the required details.

    For Jamf Pro, enter the following details:

    • Name—Enter a name for the Jamf Pro extension instance.

    • Type—Select Jamf Pro from the list.

    • URL—Enter the required URL.

    • Connect Using—Select Credentials or OAuth depending on the framework you want to use.

      If you selected OAuth, fill in the Client ID, Secret and Token information.

    • User Name—Enter the user name.

    • Password—Enter the password.

    For Jamf School, enter the following details:

    • Name—Enter a name for the Jamf Pro extension instance.

    • Type—Select Jamf School from the list.

    • URL—Enter the required URL.

    • User Name—Enter the user name.

    • Password—Enter the password.

  6. Click Install.

    • If installed successfully, the Installed Extensions tab displays a Jamf Pro or Jamf School card with the defined instance name and an Active status.

    • If there is an issue with the extension, the Installed Extensions tab displays a Jamf Pro or Jamf School card with the defined instance name and an Inactive status.

      Clicking the card displays the side panel with the error message at the top.
