Installing the VMWare Workspace ONE Extension

Note:

Before installing the VMWare Workspace ONE extension in HPE Aruba Networking Central, you must create a VMWare Workspace ONE (AirWatch) dashboard user profile and enroll your devices.

To install the VMWare Workspace ONE extension, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the menu icon to open the Global menu.

    The Global menu is displayed with menu items represented as tiles.

  2. In the Extensions tile, click Manage.

    The Extensions page is displayed, along with the installed and available extensions under their respective tabs.

  3. Under the Available Extensions tab, in the VMWare Workspace ONE tile, click Install.

    The VMWare Workspace ONE installation side panel is displayed.

  4. Enter the required details as follows:

    • Name—Enter a name for the VMWare Workspace ONE extension instance.

    • URL—Enter the AirWatch Portal dashboard URL (https://cn800.airwatchportals.com/).

    • API Token—Enter the API token generated in the AirWatch Portal dashboard.

    To configure the VMWare Workspace ONE extension instance using your AirWatch Portal dashboard credentials, select the Credentials option under the Connect Using section and enter the following details:

    • Username—Enter the username of the AirWatch Portal dashboard profile.

    • Password—Enter the password of the AirWatch Portal dashboard profile.

    To configure the VMWare Workspace ONE extension instance using OAuth, select the OAuth option under the Connect Using section and enter the following details:

    • Client ID—Enter the client ID generated in the AirWatch Portal dashboard.

    • Secret—Enter the secret generated in the AirWatch Portal dashboard.

    • Token Server URL—Enter the token server URL.

  5. Click Install.
