  4. Enter the required details as follows:

    • Name—Enter a name for the vSphere extension.

Note: A vSphere extension configured with a user-defined name may not be found in the switch container. This is by design, as the system uses the vSphere container name rather than the user-defined name.
    • vCenter Hostname or IP Address—Enter the hostname or IP address used to connect to vCenter.

    • Username—Enter your vCenter username.

    • Password—Enter your vCenter password.

    • Agent Site—Select a site in which the vSphere agent is to be deployed. vSphere agents are installed directly on AOS-CX switches on-site, and directly connects to HPE Aruba Networking Central.

    • vSphere Agent Switch—Select a switch within the site.

    • vSphere Agent Image URL—Provide an http server-accessible URL from the switch.

    Note:
    • The vSphere Agent Switch option is displayed only when an agent site is selected and the vSphere Agent Image URL option is displayed only when a vSphere agent switch is selected.

    • The vSphere Agent Image URL field displays an agent image URL corresponding to the onboarded switch.

  5. Click Install.
