Virtual Machine Context Page
The Virtual Machine context page provides an overview of the health, properties, and connectivity performance details of a specific virtual machine. For more information on viewing the Virtual Machine context page, see Viewing the Virtual Machine Context Page.
Figure 1: Virtual Machine Context Page
The cards displayed in the virtual machine context page are as follows:
Health Card
The Health card provides general health information about the virtual machine based on the network connectivity of all the adapters on the virtual machine, such as health status and vSphere Extension.
Figure 2: Virtual Machine Health Card
The following table describes the Health card parameters.
|
Parameter |
Description |
|---|---|

Connectivity Card
The Connectivity card provides a representation of the selected virtual machine’s connection to the internet, as well as the health at each node, through the following path:
Virtual Machine > Client > Device > Internet
Figure 5: Virtual Machine Connectivity Card
To view additional information about the Connectivity card, click the expand
icon.
The expanded Connectivity card contains a Virtual tab. The Virtual tab provides the host name details and a representation of all the nodes between the VM and the network.
In the expanded Connectivity card, active links between nodes are represented by solid lines, while backup links are shown by dotted lines.
The following node types are displayed in the representation:
-
VM
-
Networks (PortGroups)
-
Virtual Switches
-
Uplinks
-
Virtual NICs
-
Physical Switches
You can hover over each node type to view more details about that node. The node types VM, virtual switch and physical switch display the health status.
