Viewing Virtual Machines in the List View

The list view is displayed on the site dashboard in the site context. In the list view, you can get insights about the overall status of all the virtual machines at a site.

Note:

Ensure that you have installed the vSphere extension. For more information see Installing the vSphere Extension.

To navigate to the list view, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site having at least one active virtual machine from the Sites menu.

    Alternatively, you can click the expand icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list.

    The site dashboard is displayed with the network and connectivity information for the site.

  2. In the site context, click VM.

    The list view is displayed on the Virtual Machines dashboard.

The following table describes the columns in the Virtual Machines list.

Column

Description

Name

Displays the name of the virtual machine set in vSphere.

  • —This icon indicates that health is good and there are no issues in the connection for the virtual machine. The value corresponding to this icon indicates the number of virtual machines present in this status.

  • —This icon indicates that health is fair and there are minor issues in the connection for virtual machine. The value corresponding to this icon indicates the number of virtual machines or clients present in this status.

  • —This icon indicates that health is poor and there are critical issues in the connection for virtual machine. The value corresponding to this icon indicates the number of virtual machines present in this status.

  • —This icon indicates that the virtual machine is offline. The value corresponding to the icon indicates the number of virtual machines that are offline.

Power State

Displays the power state of the virtual machine from vSphere.
The possible states are On, Suspended, and Off.

MAC Addresses

Displays the MAC addresses of the virtual machine.

IP Addresses

Displays the IP addresses of the virtual machine.

VLANs

Displays the VLANs of the device to which the virtual machine is connected to.

Host

Displays the host name of the virtual machine.

Clicking on a virtual machine allows you to view additional information about the selected virtual machine. For more information, see the following topics:
