HPE Aruba Networking Central retains the data of the network health and activity for 30 days. However, reports and audit trails can be retained for up to 90 days.

Are there any configuration prerequisites for switch monitoring in HPE Aruba Networking Central?

Can Networking Copilot integrate with third-party tools such as Teams or Slack?
Currently, Networking Copilot is accessible only within HPE Aruba Networking Central. Integration with Teams and Slack will be supported in future updates.

Can I control how device health is calculated and displayed in HPE Aruba Networking Central?
Yes. Device health in HPE Aruba Networking Central is determined by the severity of alerts associated with each device:

Poor (Red diamond)—One or more Critical alerts.

Fair (Yellow triangle)—No Critical alerts, but one or more Major alerts.

Good—No Critical or Major alerts.
You can control which alerts impact device health by navigating to Alert Management, where you can configure alert severities.
What if I want the device to show Poor only when it is offline or unavailable?
You can configure device health so that Poor is shown only when a device is offline or unavailable.
To achieve this:

Set the severity of all non-offline alerts to Major or lower.

Keep the following offline alerts set to Critical:

AP Offline
-
Switch Offline
-
Gateway Offline
-
Bridge Offline
With this configuration:

Devices show Poor health only when offline/unavailable.
-
Other alerts set to Major result in Fair health instead.
