CLI Viewer

The CLI Viewer enables access to both the Running and Candidate configurations of the HPE Aruba Networking device. The Running Config displays the active configuration currently applied on the device, whereas the Candidate Config displays the configuration to be provisioned by HPE Aruba Networking Central.

Note:

CLI Viewer is only available at the Device level.

To view the CLI Viewer, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the configuration icon.

    The Profiles tab is displayed by default.

  2. In the left navigation menu, select Devices.

    The Devices table is displayed containing the list of device groups.

  1. Click on a device from the list for which you wish to view the CLI Viewer.

  2. Click CLI Viewer on the upper right-hand corner.

    Note:

    Devices with large configurations may take longer to load.

  3. On the CLI Viewer pop-up page, you can view two tabs and one CLI terminal:

    1. Candidate Config—Displays the desired configuration defined by the Uplink Port profile and Downlink Port profile selections made in HPE Aruba Networking Central to be pushed to the device.

    2. Running Config—Displays the current configuration on the device.

    3. CLI Terminal—Displays the CLI configuration for the device.

    Type your query in the search bar within the Candidate or Running Config tab, press Enter, and matching results will be highlighted in orange.

  4. Click the copy icon to copy the displayed configuration.

  5. Click the download icon to download the displayed configuration in a text file.
