Quick Start—Onboarding Bridges
This topic describes how to onboard a bridge in HPE Aruba Networking Central.
Bridges are managed through HPE Aruba Networking Central and require an HPE Aruba Networking Central subscription. Before you begin, you must create or log in to your HPE GreenLake cloud workspace, provision the HPE Aruba Networking Central service, and activate your device subscriptions.
Onboarding Bridges
To onboard a Bridge, complete the following steps:

Create a new workspace in HPE GreenLake and acquire the licenses.
Note:If you do not have an HPE GreenLake account, see Getting started with GreenLake platform for detailed information.

Provision HPE Aruba Networking Central service.

Check the Foundation Bridge license in your inventory.

Assign the device in HPE GreenLake.

Assign licenses.
-
Add a bridge to the workspace.

Create a site in HPE Aruba Networking Central.

Assign the Bridge to the site.

Configure the Bridge.
Adding a Bridge to the Workspace
To add a bridge to the workspace, complete the following steps:

In the HPE GreenLake page, click > Inventory.
The Inventory page is displayed by default.

Select a Bridge from the inventory list and click Actions.

Select Assign to Service Manager from the Actions drop-down menu.
The Apply subscriptions page is displayed.

Click the radio button next to the subscription key of your choice to select it.

Click Apply Subscriptions.
The bridge is onboarded. You can onboard a Bridge to a cluster. For more information on onboarding a Bridge to a cluster, see Onboarding a Bridge to a Cluster.
Onboarding a Bridge to a Cluster
This section describes how to onboard a Bridge to a cluster and switch between clusters.
Switching Between Clusters
To switch between clusters, complete the following steps:

Re-provision the device on the workspace device manager page.

Then factory reset the Bridge to clean the HPE Aruba Networking Central URL saved in flash drive and clear the configuration.
Creating a Site in HPE Aruba Networking Central
To create a site, complete the following steps:

In the HPE GreenLake page, select a workspace.

In the workspace, select Services > My Services and launch the required service from the list.

In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the configuration
icon.The configuration profiles are displayed in Profile view.

In the left navigation pane, click Sites.
The Sites page displays a list of sites configured in a table.

Click Create Site.
The Create Site pop-up window is displayed.

Note:When you click Create Site for the first time, the browser requests permission to know your current location. To grant permission and load the mapbox with your current location, click Allow. If you click Block, the mapbox loads the default HPE Headquarters location with the following coordinates 30.095449, -95.442105.

In the Create Site pop-up window, enter the following details:

Name
Enter the name of site.
Custom Image
To add a custom image for your site, you can drag and drop the image file, or click to browse the image file on your system, and then click Open.
Supported image formats: JPEG (.jpeg, .jpg), WebP (.webp), and PNG (.png).
Maximum size: 10 MB
Civic Address
Enter the address of the site. To enter the address, perform one of the following:

To manually populate the address details, configure the following parameters:

Address— Enter the address of the site. The search bar displays dynamic results as soon as you start typing. Select an address from the dynamic results. Once selected, the fields are auto-populated.
If your address does not appear in the dynamic results, manually enter the City, State/Province, Country, and Postal Code data.

City—Enter the city in which the site is located.

Country—Select the country in which the site is located.
-
State/Province—Select the state or province in which the site is located.
-
Postal Code—Enter the postal code of the site.

In the mapbox window, drag and drop the pin in the map to auto-populate the address. Below is a list of the full set of controls that you can use in your maps:

Zoom—The zoom control displays
and
icons for changing the zoom level of the map. To return to the default zoom levels, click
. -
Map Type—The map type control allows you to toggle between map types (Satellite, Street, and 3D). By default, the Street view is displayed.

Time Zone
The time zone is dynamically populated based on the GPS coordinates. You can also manually select the time zone from the drop-down list.
Latitude
Displays the latitudinal value of the site. This field is auto-populated with the latitude value based on the pin adjusted in the map or the entered Postal Code. You can also manually enter the latitude value.
Longitude
Displays the longitudinal value of the site. This field is auto-populated with the longitude value based on the pin adjusted in the map or the entered Postal Code. You can also manually enter the longitude value.

Click Save.
The new site is added to the Sites table.
Assigning the Bridges to a Site
Once you have created the site, you can assign it at a device or site level.
Assigning a Site at Device Level
To assign a site at the device level, complete the following steps:

In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the configuration
icon.The configuration profiles are displayed in Profile view.

In the left navigation pane, click Devices.
The Devices page displays a list of devices configured in a table.

Perform one of the following steps:

Hover over the device to which you want to assign a site, and click the ellipsis
icon. Select Move to Site. -
Select the check box for the relevant device, and click Actions on the top right and select Move to Site from the drop-down list.
The Move to Site side panel is displayed.

Select a site from the Sites drop-down list.
-
Click Move.
The Devices page displays the assigned site for the selected device.
