Assigning Devices to Floorplan in Floorplan Dashboard

The floorplan of the selected floor is displayed and shows the assigned devices on the map.

To assign more devices or to remove devices from the floorplan, complete the following steps:

1. From the Action drop-down list, select Assign Devices to Floors.

   The Assign Devices page is displayed with number of available floorplans and list of devices on each floorplan. For more information, see Assigning Devices to Floorplans in Floorplan Manager.

2. Select a device by clicking the checkbox against each device to assign it to the floorplan and then click Assign Devices. You can also select multiple devices as a time and assign to a floorplan by clicking the checkbox in one go.

   Optionally, if you want to remove any device from the floorplan, uncheck the checkbox against the specific device.
   

   When there are multiple devices or floorplans in a specific location, to search for devices or floorplans, you can type the device name, model, MAC address, and serial number in the Search box. The Search box has a free-text search capability, where you can type the full or partial information to populate the required information. Additionally, to narrow down information, you can also filter the devices based on device type and device model. To perform filtering, click the icon next to the Search box. The Filter dialog box appears where you can select the device type and model that you want to display on the Assign Devices page. To clear applied filters, click Clear Filters.

   Click Cancel to go back to the Floorplan Manager.

   To customize the Assign Devices table, click the Customize columns icon to select the required columns, or click Reset to default to set the table to the default columns.

   HPE Aruba Networking Central allows you to sort the devices alphabetically and numerically for all the attributes present in the Assign Devices page. To sort the devices, click the icon available next to each attribute.
