Creating Walls

You can create Walls at the global level and use them across sites available globally in a specific account. You can manage the objects used on the floorplans across sites.

To create a customized wall, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the menu icon to open the Menu page.

  2. In the Floor Plan Management card, click the Manage.
The Floor Plan Management page is displayed with the Wall Type information:

    Table 1: Wall Types

    Data Pane

    Description

    Name

    The floor name.

    Attenuation

The attenuation value of the wall.

    Origin

The origin of the wall that is created, System, or User.

    Note:

All the system generated walls are displayed first and after that the user-generated walls are displayed in the list.

  1. Click the Create option available at the right corner of the page.
    A side panel appears.

  2. Enter the Wall Name and the Attenuation value for the wall that you want to create.

    Note:
    • You can give the wall attenuation value ranging from 0.1 dB through 60 dB.

    • You can provide the same attenuation value of a customized wall similar to any system-generated wall , but you cannot use the same name for a customized wall as any system-generated wall.

    • You can delete or edit a customized wall , but you can neither delete not edit a system-generated wall.

To delete or edit a wall, hover over the wall name, to see the delete and edit icons.

A warning is displayed to confirm if you want to delete a wall.

Note:

If you delete a customized wall at the global level, that you have used in a site or floorplan, those walls get converted to dry walls.
