Creating Initial Floor and Building
To create an initial floor and building, complete the following steps:

From the Action drop-down list, select Create Floor.
The Create Floor page is displayed. The floor card is represented in dotted lines on the building map while you are creating a specific floorplan. After the floorplan is created, it is displayed in a continuous line. -
Enter the floor name in Floor Name field.

Click Create Building to create a building from the Building drop-down list.
The Create Building page is displayed. -
Optionally, you can move an existing building to a new an address across locations by using the Search bar at the top. Enter the location address in the search bar, it displays the options available. Select the address from the options and automatically the building moves to the selected address.
Alternatively, you can also move an existing building to a new site address by manually dragging and dropping the building on the floormap. A confirmation screen appears, click Move. -
Enter the Building Name and select the type of the building from Type drop-down list.

Click Create.

Assign a floor number to the floor. You can assign floor numbers between -50 through 350.
Note:- You can create maximum of 350 floors in a building.
- One decimal number is supported for floor number. For example you can use, 1.2, 2.1, or 4.2.
- You can use negative numbers for the underground floors.

Enter a value for ceiling height in the Ceiling Height field. By default, the ceiling height is set to 10 feet.
Note:By default, the Unit of Measure (UOM) for the ceiling height is Feet. You can change the UOM to Meter at the account level in GLCP. If you select Meter at the account level all the values while creating a floor changes to Meter from Feet. The default ceiling height changes from 10 Feet to 3.048 Meter. Upload the floorplan image from your local system. The supported image formats to create a floorplan are listed in Floorplan Management.
Note:-
Anchoring of image files to map box, automatically scales the map and provides latitude and longitude reference point on the map.

The maximum size of the floorplan image that can be uploaded is 10 MB.

The floorplan image dimensions are limited to 10,000 meters x 10,000 meters.

Select either Geo-locate the floor on the map or Measure the floor as one of the options to scale the floorplan and click Next.
The floor map is rendered with respect to the building address. For more information, see Scaling Floorplans.
The status of the floor creation is displayed at the bottom of the page as Upload in progress.

To import CAD layer(s) from the floorplan image into the floor, click Review Layers.

In the Review Layers page, select the layer(s) from the CAD Layers drop-down list. Click Select All to select all the layers from the CAD Layers drop-down list.
Note:-
The Review Layers button is visible only if you have uploaded a CAD image file while creating the floor.

You can select a single layer, multiple layers, or all layers from the CAD Layers drop-down list, but the maximum number of walls you can select is 1000.

Click Finish.
The new floor is created and displayed on the Floorplan Manager.
Note:The maximum length of a floor is limited to 10 kilometers.
