Device Details

Along with the AP icon, the name of the AP is also displayed. If the AP name is not configured, the MAC address of the AP is displayed. Based on the status of the APs, the color of the APs differ on the floorplan:

  • — Offline

  • — Online

  • — Fair

  • — Unknown

Hover over the access points to display a tool tip with the following information:

  • Name—Name or the MAC address of the device.

  • Status—Status of the device.

  • Device Type—Type of the device deployed on the floorplan.

  • Model—Model of the device.

  • 2.4 GHz Channel—Displays the 2.4 GHz channel number.

  • 5 GHz Channel—Displays the 5 GHz channel number.

  • 6 GHz Channel—Displays the 6 GHz channel number.

    Note:

    The 6 GHz Channel option is available only for access points with three radios.

Single click on the device to view the device details. A side panel is displayed with the following information:

  • Access Point—Name or MAC address of the device.

  • Real-Time image of the access point based on the AP model.

  • Status—Status of the device.

  • IP Address—IP address of the device.

  • MAC Address—MAC address of the device.

  • Model—Model number of the device.

  • Uptime—Time since the device is operational. This field is not displayed for the offline devices.

  • Alerts—Number of alerts associated to the device.

  • Clients—Number of connected clients on the device.

To find more details about the selected AP, click the Go to Device button on the side panel. This navigates to the AP summary page.

Within a floorplan, you can click on an AP or a client to view the associated lines. An associated line is a dotted line that connects an AP to its connected client(s) or a client to its associated AP. The color of the dotted line represents the health of the client.

The left pane with floorplan details in attached with the floor dashboard page. Click the Action drop-down list to assign devices to the floorplan, deploy access points- automatically or manually, and remove access points from the floorplan. You can perform the following on the Floorplan dashboard:
