Location Analytics
Location Analytics (LA) harnesses WLAN signals within the network to gather data points, offering valuable insights into client behavior and movement patterns. This feature enables users to better understand client personas and behavioral trends.
The solution utilizes Access Points with an Advance license for data collection, processing, and analysis, focusing on delivering both real-time and historical data insights. These insights help businesses enhance operations, elevate customer experiences, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
To use this feature on the HPE Aruba Networking Central WebUI, you need a UI foundation or Advance license. To stream location analytics data using APIs, you need an Advance license.
Known Issues
Following are the known Location Analytics issues in the current release:
-
If an account has two users (e.g., User-A and User-B), if User-A enables Location Analytics, the data begins populating as expected. However, when User-B logs in, the Enable option for LA is visible. If User-B clicks Enable, the data becomes visible to User-B as well.
-
If there are 1K new visitors and 2.32K recurring visitors, the total count of visitors is displayed as 33245.
-
You need to enable LA explicitly on HPE Aruba Networking Central, even though the Presence Analytics (PA) is enabled in HPE Aruba Networking Central.
