Navigating to Floorplan from the AP Dashboard

In HPE Aruba Networking Central, you can navigate to the floorplan from the AP dashboard. If the location data is available for an AP, then you can navigate from the AP dashboard to the floorplan, and view the location details of an AP along with it's connected clients.

To navigate to the floorplan from the AP dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site from the Sites menu.

   Alternatively, you can click the expand icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list.

   The site dashboard is displayed with the network and connectivity information for the site.

2. Click Network.

   The Unified Device List (UDL) view is displayed for the site.

3. Click the AP name in the Any or the Access Points tab.

   The AP dashboard is displayed.

4. In the AP dashboard, click the map icon.

   The location details of the selected AP is displayed along with its connected clients.

   

• If there are no floors within a floorplan, then HPE Aruba Networking Central UI prompts you to create a floor, assign the selected AP to the floor, and then manually place the AP on the floor to view the location details of the AP. • If the selected AP is not assigned to any floor, then HPE Aruba Networking Central UI prompts you to assign the selected AP to the floor and then manually place the AP on the floor to view the location details of the AP. • If the selected AP is not placed on any floor, then HPE Aruba Networking Central UI prompts you to manually place the AP on the floor to view the location details of the AP. For more information, see Manual AP Placement.
