Cellular Interface

The Cellular Interface card displays the cellular network interface and connection details for the AP devices equipped with a cellular interface module.

Note:
  • The Cellular Interface card is displayed only when the AP device is connected to a cellular interface module.

  • The Aruba Skylark modem card is not supported for APs running firmware versions below ArubaOS 10.4.x.x and ArubaOS 8.10.x.x .

Serial Number

Serial number of the cellular interface connected to the AP.

Software Version

Version number of the software currently running on the cellular interface connected to the AP.

SIM State

Indicates the status of the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card used in the cellular uplink interface as one of the following:

  • —Indicates good health and the SIM status as Ready

  • —Indicates poor health with status as one of the following:

    • SIM not ready

    • SIM missing

IMEI

Displays the 15 digit unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number of the device.

IMSI

Displays the 14-15 digit unique International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) number of the mobile subscriber.

ICCID

Displays the 18-22 digit unique Integrated Circuit Card Identification (ICCID) number of the SIM card.

Connection Details

Connection Status

Indicates the connection status and health of the cellular uplink interface as one of the following:

  • —Indicates good health with status as one of following:

    • Connected

    • In standby

In standby status indicates that the cellular uplink is used as a backup and is ready to connect, but is not currently connected.

  • —Indicates poor health with status as one of the following:

    • SIM not ready

    • Interface not ready

    • No signal

    • Connection failed

Access Technology

Indicates the access technology used by the connected modem as one of the following:

  • LTE-FDD

  • LTE-TDD

  • LTE-2xCA

  • LTE-3xCA

  • UMTS

Band

Cellular frequency band on which the modem is connected.

The allowed band number depends on the cellular access technology used.

Bandwidth

The bandwidth of the band on which the modem is connected.

Signal Strength

Current signal strength measured by the connected modem.

SINR

Current signal to interference plus noise ratio measured by the connected modem.

This parameter is supported for APs running ArubaOS 10.5.x.x and ArubaOS 8.10.x.x version and above. For APs running earlier versions, the SINR value is displayed as 0 dB.

Connection Uptime

Time duration since the current connection was established.

Usage

Cumulative data bytes transferred and received through the current cellular interface over the current monitoring window set in the timeline.
