Properties

The Properties card lists the key attributes of the AP, such as the Model, Manufacturer, MAC Address, Serial Number, and so on.

The following table lists the Properties card parameters.

Parameter

Description

Model

The AP hardware model.

Manufacturer

Name of the AP manufacturer.

Part Number

Part number of the AP device.

MAC Address

Primary MAC address of the AP.

Serial Number

Serial number of the AP.

IP Address

Administrative IP address of the AP.

Latest IP Address is not displayed for the APs that are offline for more than a day. For such APs, the properties card displays the Last IP Address configured on the device.

Public IP Address

Public IP address of the AP.

Latest public IP Address is not displayed for the APs that are offline for more than a day. For such APs, the properties card displays the Last Public IP Address configured on the device.

Deployment Mode

For APs with ArubaOS 8.x versions, indicates one of the following deployment modes:

  • Standalone

  • Cluster

For APs running ArubaOS 10.x versions and added to the 3.x compatible group in Classic Central, indicates one of the following deployment modes:

  • Microbranch

  • Campus

If the AP is running ArubaOS 10.x but not part of the 3.x compatible group in Classic Central, then the deployment mode is displayed as Standalone.

Conductor

Displays the actual conductor device name if the AP is part of a device group, such as a cluster, where one device acts as a conductor.

Displays the conductor as Self, if the AP itself acts as a conductor in the device group.

Conductor name is not displayed for a standalone AP device (not part of the device group).

Country Code

Country code used to determine the AP's operational regulatory domain.

This field is supported from 10.4.0.0-10.4.0.0_84547 firmware version and above.

Band Selection

Displays the mode on which an AP selects the band for its radios to operate:

  • Dual Band—The AP selects different bands for its radios.

  • Dual 5 GHz—The AP configures both its radios to operate on the 5 GHz band.

This field is supported from 10.4.0.0-10.4.0.0_84547 firmware version and above.

Mode

Displays the operating mode of the AP as one of the following options:

  • Client Access
  • Dedicated Spectrum
  • Hybrid Spectrum
  • Air Monitor

Firmware Version

Version number of the firmware currently running on the AP.

Default Gateway

Displays the IP address of the gateway connected to the AP. Indicates the type of IP allocation (Static or DHCP) used to assign the IP address in parenthesis.

 

The expanded view of the Properties card allows users with administrator access to save, update, and delete information such as labels, comments, and description in the form of notes. To add, update, or delete an existing note, click the edit icon on the Properties expanded card.
