Viewing Clients in List View

The clients list view allows you to view a list of all the clients associated with the selected AP. The list view also provides options to filter the clients based on the connectivity status. Additionally, you can also customize the columns displayed in the list view.

To navigate to the Clients page, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site from the Sites menu.

    Alternatively, you can click the expand icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list.

    The site dashboard is displayed with the network and connectivity information for the site.

  2. Click Network.

    The Unified Device List (UDL) view is displayed for the site.

  3. Click the AP name in Any or the Access Points tab.

    The AP dashboard is displayed.

  4. Click Clients.

    The List view of clients associated with the AP is displayed.

    The following table lists the columns in the List view.

    Column

    Description

    Name

    Displays the client health indicators, client name, and client status.

    The client health indicators are:

    • —Client is in good health.

    • —Client is in fair health.

    • —Client is in poor health.

    The client status values are:

    • Connected

    • Disconnected

    • Failed

    • Connecting

    • Blocked

    Type

    Indicates the AP device type as Wired or Wireless along with the corresponding icon as one of the following:

    • —Wireless

    • —Wired

    MAC Address

    Displays the MAC address of the client.

    IP Address

    Displays the IP address of the client.

    Network

    Displays the name of the client network.

    To view the client dashboard, click the client name in the List view.

Filtering Clients in List View

You can select the quick filters tab to filter the clients in the List view based on Status and Type.

The following table lists the quick filter tabs in the List view.

Select this option to view the list of clients currently connected to the AP.

Failed

Select this option to view the list of failed client connections associated with the AP.

Connecting

Select this option to view the list of clients connections that are in progress.

Disconnected

Select this option to view the list of clients disconnected from the AP.

Blocked

Select this option to view the list of blocked clients associated with the AP.

Type

Wireless

Select this option to view the list of wireless clients in the context of the selected status filter.

Wired

Select this option to view the list of wired clients in the context of the selected status filter.

Remote

Select this option to view the list of remote clients in the context of the selected status filter.
